My First Clean With Me Video is Up!!

I finally did it!  It took 2-3 days to film, and my camera isn't very good, but I just went ahead and did it anyway.

If you'd like to check it out, and maybe clean along with me, head over HERE  (I'll embed it below as well).

I'm nervous!

Let me know what you think!

Thanks.
Patty

  1. In your video you said you bought a stick vacuum. What brand did you get? We bought a Dirt Devil that was supposed to be specifically for pet hair but I get more up with a broom than with it. It doesn't handle hair or guinea pig shavings.

  2. Hi Jane, I just noticed my reply is not showing up. I know I replied to you, but I guess it didn't save. Sorry! I got a Dirt Devil like $25 stick vacuum at Big Lots. It didn't work very well, but it was easy to use - until it stopped working. The roller just stopped rolling. It would roll fast when I turned it on, but then stop, every time. I cleaned it, banged on it, you name it, and I could not get it to work correctly again. So I got my big old vacuum out, and it's just not working either. We've cleaned it out, but it's just not suctioning like it used to. So, we decided to go ahead and spend some of my 401k money on a new one, and got a Dyson cordless V7 Animal, which was thankfully on same at Lowes. It was still really expensive though. More than I ever payed for a vacuum before, but it is pretty amazing. It's AMAZING on pet hair! I ran the smaller power-brush-head attachment over part of the cat tree and WOW! It looked like it was brand new carpeting! HIGHLY recommend if you can spare $270 for a vacuum.

    1. I think we may have had the same Dirt Devil although my wasn't $25 at Walmart. A total waste of money which kind of got me mad.
I think if I tried to pay that much for a vacuum hubby would about die :)
I have hard wood floors throughout so sweeping is ok it just doesn't get every bit of hair or bedding and my couches are starting to look shaggy too.
We're making our son shave his long haired dog which helps a little bit but it looks like I'm just stuck with a hairy house lol
