For those of you who come by here now and then, you have probably noticed, the site's looking a little bit different. I gave it a little paint job and used some fall-ish colors. Hope it's not hard on anyone's eyes. I think it looks warm and comfy. I hope you all do too.
There's a little bit of Fall decorating going on in my home as well. I will try to get more pics of the rest of it, but for now, here are some pics of my buffet, where I set the 2nd chocolate pie to set for a moment before putting it in the fridge.
That's KC (Kissy Cat) in her basket. Hey it keeps her off the tablecloth and dishes.
Yes, that's my second chocolate meringue pie. My Sweetheart had loved the first pie so much, he asked me to bake one to take to our friends' house when he goes to a get together there tomorrow. I'm honored and flattered that he'd ask me to do that. Yeah it was a bit tougher to make it when I was so tired and just wanted to get to bed, but I did it for him and knowing he was proud of me and wanted to show it off (cause I know that's why he asked haha) made it worth it. It turned out pretty well. I think I'm really getting the knack of it. I used to be so afraid of it. It feels good to have conquered that fear and did a good job at the same time.
I'll post more close-up pics later when I do a post of all my decorations. I'm especially proud of the cinnamon broom on my door. My dear Sweetheart told me he wants the house to smell like apple cinnamon and maybe pumpkin spice through Thanksgiving. Then he wants the house to smell like evergreen through Christmas.
Oh my goodness. I was at the mall today and Yankee Candle and Bath&Body Works had all their yummy fall candles out and the new wallflowers scents for Fall. Oh dear, I could spend WAY too much money in those places! I already spent too much at Dollar Tree!
Well I have really got to hit the sack now! I hope everyone has a great Labor Day. Here's to Fall being right around the corner!

Patty, thanks so much for adding grannymountain. That chocolate pie looks delish and the fact that your husband requested it is extra "sweet!" Come visit often...

Love your decorations and your pic looks perfect. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so warm and cozy and delicious for fall....
ReplyDeleteOh it looks beautiful! Fall is my favorite time of year. I don't know if they have them out yet or not but Dollar General had the cinnamon scented brooms for like $5 or $10 last year and I neglected to get one. I am determined to get one this year. Watch at Wal-Mart too they have the scented pinecones and if you will wait they mark them down to around $2. I am like you...I love things that smell nice! Happy Autumn!!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!! :) :) :)
