The No-Kill Shelter is full. Isn't that sad? So, until I can give them away or I can luck out and find out they have a cage open, I'm stuck with these kittens. They're cute, but I really can't afford to keep them, and our litter box cannot support 7 cats... no no no.
Have you tried Craig's List? I adopted out two of my Weim's on there.
ReplyDeleteWith kittens you just have to be careful they're not going for snake food.
:(
ReplyDeleteI hope the shelter spaces open up soon. 7 cats- that is a lot to care for. Does your humane society offer a low cost spay and neuter program? In my county, we don't have a low cost program but the next county over does. I know of a few people who drive the extra 45 minutes to take advantage of the savings.
Good Luck!
Those kitties are so cute!!! I hope you can find them a good home soon. :)
ReplyDeleteJane, I did post on Craig's List, but they flagged it and removed it :( All the other pet ads were left up. I must have done something more wrong than normal in mine. :(
ReplyDeleteladybugs, yes our shelter does the low cost spaying/neutering. If it comes down to it, we'll have to get the kittens(or cats as the case my be by then) and the mama cat fixed, then try to give them away again.
I did have one lady contact me from my freecycle post but when she found out they weren't fixed or had shots yet, she wouldn't take them. Do people really do that for kittens they're just going to give away? I guess I'm old skool.
Hi there...you really do have a dilemma. They are adorable kitties.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about kittens, but I do know that when you get a puppy, they are always dewormed and have their shots. I wouldn't be surprised if some cat owners would expect the same thing.
I would not have been able to do it either...when I was raising a family.
Good luck in finding homes for them. So sweet.
