Well, after that little venting session I had yesterday (or the day before?), it's probably a good idea for me to take this challenge to give me a good swift kick in the hiney.
Courtney at Women Living Well started a great challenge for wives to really show how much they love their husbands since we're so close to Valentines day. I do love my Sweetheart, even if I did want to make him sleep with the dogs the other day heh. I'm betting we all have days like that, maybe even Courtney. :)
Well, the challenge comes in a few steps and I'm a bit late getting into part one, but here it is!

From Women Living Well Blog:
Look for ways to praise your husband verbally. Praise him in front of the kids, friends, family, co-workers, on facebook, tweet it - get praise out anyway you can! Try to mention something noteworthy he has done - in his role as provider, father, husband, lover, or friend. If the thought of trying to come up with one terrifies you, then pray right now that God will give you new eyes to see your husband as God does. Then open your mouth and say something kind and uplifting to your husband today and tomorrow and the next day until Valentine's Day arrives!

I've certainly not been doing that huh?
So, starting today, I'm going to TRY to blog, tweet, FB post, and just talk about how great he really is.
Christopher is my best friend and has been since our senior year of high school. We didn't start dating til the last year of college after we both got our hearts broken by someone else at school. But really, he's always been the ONE for me. He's hot too! :D
And he's the best daddy! We've got 4 girls (the 3 youngest here) and he's made them all a Daddy's girl. They all adore him and he still plays games with them and pounces for tickle attacks. Now that 3 are teenagers, his poor heart isn't dealing well with the whole boyfriend thing, but he's not scared anyone away with a shotgun yet though.. maybe a battle axe LOL! When they were little, he adored them all from before they were even born, and even read to Corina before she was born. He never cringed at changing diapers or getting up in the middle of the night to give one a bottle or walk and rock them to sleep. In fact to this day when he's near a baby he starts to sway back and forth LOL! He actually wants more, but oh my gosh! I told him to wait a bit and he can have grandkids hehe.
I honestly don't like doing anything without him. We're almost always together except when one is working or some other thing keeps us apart. We keep date night sacred.
I'm very lucky to be married to my best friend and my little girls' daddy. He's truly my soul-mate. I hope we get to live a long and active life together. I love him with all my heart.
Terrific post & definitely makes up for the "rant" you posted about him. Marriage is hard work and we all struggle but it doesn't mean we love them any less. I enjoy looking forward to hearing about your future challenges!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice challenge- it sounds so sweet. I bet it will be fun for both of you.
