I've been blogging for like 2 years, and have never been tagged in a blog game til now! Big thanks to Lori for making me "it".
It's a Q and A game so y'all can known even more about me that you don't really want to know haha!
Rule #1: people who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs and replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
Rule #2: tag 4 people to do this quiz and they cannot refuse. these people must state who they were tagged by and cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. Continue this game by sending it to other people.
I have been tagged by Lori at Real Life and Reverie.
1. If you have pets, do you see them as merely animals, or are they members of your family?
We do have pets, a lot of them.
Sophie is a standard rat terrier,
Mickey is a chihuahua/beagle mix,
Pepper, a blue point Siamese,
Porchy a tailess gray/brown tabby (aka Lard Butt),
Aja the Norwegian Forest Cat,
KC (Kissy Cat) a gray and white American Shorthair.
And then there's Gerald a rare color blue long haired topknot cavy (also known as a guinea pig hehe).
They definitely family to us. Though more-so to some family members than others. My Hubby is a dog person and I am a cat person. I have no idea how we ever got married! LOL! I adore Gerald too, but I don't get him out and play with him near enough and the kids kind of forget he's there even though his cage is in their room.
2. If you can have a dream to come true, what would it be?
That's a tough one, I have two, but if I had to pick one, then it would be for all 4 of my girls to have successful careers they love no matter what they might be, someone to love who loves them and families of their own, and no financial worries like they grew up with their whole lives.
3. What is the one thing most hated by you?
That feeling deep in your stomach when you know something is wrong either with one of the kids or money or work, whatever. I feel it much too often.
4. What would you do with a billion dollars?
That's a LOT of money! I'd pay off all our debts, get two new reliable vehicles, a nice big house in the country, where all the girls could have their own rooms and Hubby could have his game room and I get my own office. The dogs and cats can all run outside off leash on our land. I'd pay for all my girls to go to college, and get my oldest an apartment wherever she wants to go to college now... I'd pay off my brother's debts and buy my sister a bigger place to run her catering and bakery business. I'd hire nurses to take care of my husband's grandparents full time, 24 hours a day in shifts. I'd pay off all their debts as well, and make sure they have the best medical care available. We'd go visit them more often too, and even fly them up to stay in our new huge house for a few weeks between Dr appointments heh. I'd donate a bunch of money to the local high school if they agree to have a gaming club for kids to play D&D or other RPGs to promote social, math, and problem solving skills, then set up a scholarship for a kid in that club each year to go to the college of their choice. I'd take my whole family on a European vacation and spend a couple weeks in England with my best friend and pay off all his debts and house and buy him a new car. I'd donate money and have them build a huge no-kill shelter in this county and make sure they have tons of money to make sure they can care for lots of animals well and have grants for foster groups to help find homes for homeless animals. That's just the beginning. :)
5. What helps to pull you out of a bad mood?
Chocolate! hehe A hug from my Husband. My girls getting along and laughing instead of fighting. Sometimes just a good cry then going for a drive by myself.
6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
While being loved is great, there is nothing to compare to feeling love in your heart for someone. Of course it's wonderful when it's returned!
7. What is your bedtime routine?
Well, when I get off work it's 3:15am, I get a healthy snack and a mug of chai, then play some games like Zuma or read blogs etc to de-stress. Then I pack lunches for the kids, straighten up the kitchen and living room. Then brush my teeth, and get into my PJs and get to bed.
8. If you are currently in a relationship, how did you meet your partner?
I met my husband our senior year of highschool. Our first assignment for English Lit was to do a report on anything we liked that was British. I did one that was a show and tell of Welsh biscuits (I wanted to have something to hand out and be impressive lol) and he did his on Sherlock Holmes mysteries (including the PBS Mystery ones) which I thought I was the only teenager in the world who read or watched them. So, I was excited to find a fellow Conan Doyle fan and he was the only person in the class who liked the biscuits LOL! It was meant to be. We actually were just friends after that til his junior year of college when he finally opened his eyes haha. We've now been married 19 years.
9. If you could watch a creative person in the act of the creative process, who would it be?
Hmmm probably Steven Moffat writing for Doctor Who (I'm such a geek)
10. What kinds of books do you read?
Mysteries! I love Agatha Christie, Sherlock Holmes mysteries, Laura Childs, Cat Who Mysteries, Aunt Dimity, etc.
11. How would you see yourself in ten years time?
Well, in 10 years we'll likely only have one kid at home. Our baby will be a senior in high school, 18 years old. We'll probably still be living where we are now. We like it well enough and it's close to Hubby's work and in the right school district. The house will be paid off however (mobile home), and we'll likely be looking for or already have a piece of land somewhere we want to move it to. It'd be nice to be able to have a clothes line out back and let the dogs run free outside without a landlord yelling at me. I grew up in the country and after living in town for 20+ years, I'm ready to get out. Hopefully getting the land paid off quickly and living debt free. That would be awesome. Hopefully both of us in the same jobs as we really have great jobs now.
12. What’s your fear?
Losing my kids or husband
13. Would you give up all junk food for the rest of your life for the opportunity to visit outer space?
Only if it were in the TARDIS with the Doctor ;) (Definitely a geek!)
14. Would you rather be single and rich or married, but poor?
hah well, I've done the married but poor for 19 years. Too old to change now. Being rich would be cool, but I hate being lonely. I've wanted to be married since I was in high school. just always loved the idea of being a wife. :)
15. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
Wonder how late it is and when the girls will be home from school, before finally rolling over to look at the alarm clock. (I sleep days haha). Then I get up and let the dogs out.
16. If you could change one thing about your spouse/partner what would it be?
For him to be completely healthy with a strong heart and never have to take medication again.
17. If you could pick a new name for yourself, what would it be?
Emily, I've always loved that name, and out of 4 daughters, I never got an Emily. Hubby says it's too plain. :(
18. Would you forgive and forget no matter how horrible a thing that special someone has done?
I've learned that with time, things seem to be less relevant than they seemed at the time. Some things are pretty bad though, but still, I can forgive, and eventually, it's not worth my time or energy to remember.
19. If you could only eat one thing for the next 6 months, what would it be?
tortilla chips with salsa and sour cream
20.What is the thing you enjoy about blogging the most?
When I was young I kept a journal or diary. By the time I got married it was several volumes and was all in a box. Eventually they were thrown out, and I never really wrote in a diary after I got married, I had my hubby to talk to now afterall.. but now I feel the need to write down things again and to talk about things Hubby doesn't care about or things I need to rant about. My blog is a mishmash of whatever is going on in my life. One day it can be decluttering, or decorating and the next I'll be yelling about my mother in law or my kids being stupid or just whining I want something I can't have. I kind of feel like the whole blog community is a circle of friends I can use as a shoulder to cry on, even if I never get a comment. I know someone out there is listening even if they stay quiet. And somehow that's very comforting.
Well that about wraps it up!
I am going to tag

Have fun ladies!
